Actor Jaime Lorente returns to the big screen with Hamburg , his new film set on the Costa del Sol . Directed by Lino Escalera and taking a stark look at trafficking mafias, this dramatic thriller explores the stories of characters trapped in a world of violence, forced prostitution, and the desire for redemption. The feature film was presented at the Málaga Film Festival in a special session and has generated excitement for its realistic tone and powerful cast.
Lorente plays Germán, a driver for a human trafficking network, completely lost in a criminal environment from which he tries to escape. The plot revolves around that moment of rupture: when he sees an opportunity to leave everything behind. He is joined by Roger Casamajor as Cacho, the old friend who manages the strip clubs, and Ioana Bugarin , a prestigious Romanian actress who plays one of the women enslaved in the clubs in the south of the Iberian Peninsula.

The film, with echoes of film noir , stands out for its somber tone and for showing the most human and contradictory side of its inhabitants. Shot in Super 16mm and with a meticulous aesthetic that enhances its decadent setting, Hamburg doesn't skimp on narrative tension or critical insight.
Find a way outThe director worked on the script with Daniel Remón and Roberto Martín Maiztegui, authors known for their expertise in the genre. The film focuses on both the brutality of the trafficking industry and the desperate decisions made by those trapped within it.
A tale of broken characters who, as Escalera states in a Filmax press release: "Repeat making wrong decisions and end up cornered, suicidally trying to find a way out of the dead end they've dug themselves into. Poor guys condemned to never seeing anything go right, marked by fate."
The cast includes names like Asia Ortega , Mona Martínez, Tamara Casellas, Manolo Caro, and Antonio Buil, in a project that promises to resonate for its narrative courage and its commitment to a topic of significant social significance. It will be released in theaters on May 30.
